Cloud engineering

Instructor-led, lab-based training that takes engineers from cloud fundamentals to designing, automating and operating production workloads.

The challenge

Organisations move to the cloud faster than their teams learn to run it. The result is over-privileged accounts, unmanaged costs and environments built by hand that nobody can reproduce.

Video courses teach the console. They rarely teach the judgement needed to design for failure, write infrastructure as code that others can maintain, or diagnose a production fault at two in the morning.

Our programme is built around hands-on labs in real cloud accounts, taught by practising engineers, so participants leave able to build and operate rather than simply recognise terms.

Our method

How the work is done.

  1. 01

    Skills baseline

A short pre-assessment places each participant at the right starting point and informs the instructor of cohort strengths and gaps.

  2. 02

    Core curriculum

Modules cover identity and access, networking, compute, storage, databases, monitoring and cost management, each anchored to a design decision participants must defend.

  3. 03

    Automation labs

Participants build environments with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, then tear them down and rebuild them to prove reproducibility.

  4. 04

    Operations scenarios

Instructors inject failures and misconfigurations into lab environments so participants practise diagnosis and recovery.

  5. 05

    Assessment

Practical capstone project and knowledge checks aligned to AWS and Azure associate-level certification objectives.

Questions

What buyers ask us.

Does the programme prepare participants for certification exams?

The curriculum is aligned to AWS and Azure associate-level objectives. Exams are booked separately with the certification body.

Which cloud platform do you teach?

Open cohorts cover the principles across the major platforms with labs on one of them; private cohorts are built on the platform your organisation uses.

Do participants need prior cloud experience?

No, but they need working familiarity with networking basics and the command line. The pre-assessment confirms readiness.

How much time is required each week?

Part-time cohorts typically run two or three sessions a week plus lab time between them.
